Ribes odoratum

For any gardener looking for a yellow flowering shrub, Ribes odoratum, is a fantastic choice. In April and May the bush, native to Central USA, becomes absolutely full of tiny yellow flowers, which have a lovely sweet scent. The foliage of this medium sized shrub, also known as Buffalo Currant or Clove Currant, turns red and purple during autumn and produces large edible berries. A nice shrub for wide borders in woodland, cottage and larger city gardens. A full sun position is recommended. Height and spread: 2m (6.5′).
