Buddleja davidii ‘White Ball’

From midsummer to early autumn, the aptly named Butterfly Bush produces white, pollen-rich flowers, which attract butterflies as well as other pollinating insects. These blooms are attractive to humans, too, for they give off a subtle, sweet smell, making the hardy shrub popular in scented gardens. Buddleja davidii ‘White Ball’ also boasts compact foliage with silver leaves, which look particularly elegant when placed in a sunny border alongside plants with green or purple foliage. It is therefore an appropriate choice for cottage gardens and mixed patio containers, even in dry areas, for Buddleias are drought-tolerant. Height: 2m (6’5). Spread: 2m (6’5).
